Niagara Parks hosts ET Canada's New Years Eve Niagara Falls from Queen Victoria Park.
Celebrate Canada’s largest FREE New Year’s Eve extravaganza beginning at 7:45pm. Here are the New Year's Eve 2014 performers that will be ringing in the New Year in Niagara Falls Canada along with a spectacular fireworks display at 9pm and midnight!
Keith is an Australian country music singer, songwriter, guitarist, entrepreneur and music competition judge. Urban has released a total of nine studio albums, as well as one album with The Ranch. He has charted 31 singles on the US country charts, of which 16 have reached Number One (counting a duet with Brad Paisley and the 2008 single "You Look Good in My Shirt"). Those number-ones also include his third Grammy Award winning single "Sweet Thing", which is from his album Defying Gravity. His reputation as a premier songwriter, vocalist, musician and virtuoso guitarist has afforded Urban the opportunity to collaborate with the likes of The Rolling Stones, John Mayer, Steven Tyler, John Fogerty, Alicia Keys, Tim McGraw and Taylor Swift, Vince Gill, Eric Church and countless others. He was asked to perform on both nights of Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Festival and earlier this year on CBS’ “The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute To The Beatles.”
Nick Jonas is a singer-songwriter, musician, actor and multi-instrumentalist, best known as one of the Jonas Brothers, a pop-rock band he formed with his brothers Kevin and Joe. Nick previously starred in the Disney Channel original series Jonas L.A. as Nick Lucas, alongside his brothers. He also starred in the Disney Channel original movie Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. He formed the band Nick Jonas & The Administration, which released its first album in 2010. Lights ( Valerie Anne Poxleitner), is a Canadian electropop musician, singer, and songwriter. Some of her notable singles include "Drive My Soul", "Ice", "Second Go", "Toes", and "Up We Go". In 2009, she was awarded the Canadian Juno Award for New Artist of the Year.
In August 2008, Lights signed a record deal with Toronto-based label Underground Operations. She also signed an American partnership deal with Warner Bros. along with Doghouse Records. She toured from January–May 2010 with contemporary synthpop artist Owl City in Canada, the United States, and Europe.
Lights won Indie Awards in the Favourite Solo Artist and Astral Media Radio Favourite Single categories during Canadian Music Week in March She won the Best New Artist Awards in the Hot AC and CHR categories. .In November 2010, her debut album The Listening was given a gold certification by the Canadian Recording Industry Association.
Shawn Mendes is a Canadian music artist. With his self-titled The Shawn Mendes EP and his debut single "Life of the Party", he has seen rising mainstream success as a singer-songwriter and touring artist.
He first started posting cover videos on the popular social video app Vine in 2013 and picked up millions of views and followers in a matter of months, becoming well known for his six-second snippets of renditions of many popular songs. He eventually signed and released his first single "Life of the Party" in June 2014, he is the youngest artist to debut in the top 25 with a debut song on the Billboard Hot 100. He won the Teen Choice award in 2014 for Webstar in Music.
Local Openers XPRIME & Beth Moore Warm up the Crowd
These Niagara locals will take to the stage to heat up the evening on New Year's Eve. XPRIME is a pop/rock quartet that have been recently showcased at Canadian Music Week, the S.C.E.N.E Music Festival, Indie Week in Toronto and the Spring Music Fest. Local indie-folk artist Beth Moore, is a another local who will also perform.
Environment Canada forecasts Wednesday to be the coldest day of the week, with temperatures expected to hover between a low of -8C and a high of -5C. Expect to feel even colder as the venue — Queen Victoria Park — is across the street and not too far from the American and Horseshoe Falls.
**** WEGO ( Red Line, Blue Line and Purple Line buses will be running every half hour between 10:00am and 7pm. 7pm-3:30am buses will be running every 15 minutes. WEGO Green Line will be running the same schedule and operating only between Rapids View Parking Lot and Table Rock Welcome Centre.
The Falls Incline will be operating from 10:00am until 1:00am
There will be a licensed AREA where alcohol will be served that can hold up to 2,000 people at a time. ( ALCOHAL IS NOT PERMITTED OUT OF THE LICENSED ZONE)
Where to park:
Falls Parking Lot ($10), Rapidsview Parking Lot ($5) with free shuttle until 2 a.m. Many local lots are available for parking as well. Prices vary.
