It's a Peach of a Celebration as Niagara-on-the-Lake pays tribute to the growers and those who promote fresh peaches. Two full days of activities:
Saturday August 9, 2014
11 am to 4:30 pm -- Heritage District: Queen Street between King and Victoria Streets will be closed to vehicular traffic as we celebrate the peach harvest with a day of live music, historic displays, entertainment, fun and lots of Greenbelt-grown peaches. Admission is free.
5 pm - 10 pm -- The Peach Celebration continues, as Queen Street turns into a Night Market, with local merchants showcasing products from tents.
Enjoy live music , wonderful food samples, from various kitchens including Peller Estate Winery Restaurant, accompanied with wines from local wineries including Reif Estate Winery, Inniskillin, Peller and Trius and local beer.
Sunday August 10, 2014
10 am to 3:30 pm -- St Vincent de Paul Church hosts the Peach Festival on Picton Street. Great fun for all:
-Kids corner with face painting, balloon animals, reptiles, a clown and crafts
-Pig Out hamburgers and hot dogs
-A Jewelry table
-A Bake table
-Various peach items for sale, including peach punch, peach crepes, peach jam, peach pies, and peach sundaes
10 am to 5 pm -- Landmark Shops of Niagara-on-the-Lake present their unique and special value merchandise from tents on Queen Street, between Victoria and Regent Streets.
Sunday, August 10th 2014 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM
A delightful Niagara-on-the-Lake celebration of the peach harvest -- we'll set up the tables and chairs in advance on Queen Street in the Heritage District and provide the inspiration for a memorable evening.
We'll set up: tables; eight chairs per table; reserved sign with your name
You bring: Seven of the favourite people in your life; tablecloth, dishes, cutlery, table settings, napkins; glassware, table decor.
Pre-order: Wine -- white and sparkling will be chilled; all wine will be at your reserved table when you arrive
Pre-order: Gourmet picnic boxes from local Signature Kitchen restaurants -- meals will be ready for pick-up in the Market Room at back of the Courthouse when you arrive; or bring your own meals.
You choose: Where you sit -- order form will show available tables
You can enjoy: Dancing to live music
Kindly note, to allow all guests to have an enjoyable experience, these activities are not permitted within the dining area: Cooking on site; buffet or serving tables; smoking
Cost per table of eight : $240.00.
