About the Position
Due to tremendous continued growth, the resort which includes the Sheraton on the Falls, the Crowne Paza, the Skyline Inn and other attractions, is seeking an energetic and dynamic professional who will report to the Vice-President Finance/CFO and oversee and direct a team of approximately 16 people responsible for Financial Reporting, Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable.
The successful candidate will:
Be a trusted and valued business partner who will work closely with the General Managers and department managers to provide critical information to make decisions that will drive revenue, lower costs and improve guest satisfaction.
Develop a high standard of excellence for their team to create culture of continuous process improvement to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
Define and measure key metrics and communicate effectively, using benchmarking and trend analysis to monitor improvement.
Work closely with business units to create effective and supportable business plans and budgets that meet overall company objectives and are aligned.
Examine and implement opportunities to streamline and automate processes through continuous improvement, both within Finance and operations.
Safeguard company assets by reviewing, monitoring and implementing controls, adopting best practices across all business entities.
Other duties as assigned.
Professional accounting designation
At least 5 years of proven management and leadership experience at an equivalent Controllership role
Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and positively influencing business operations
Excellent organizational, analytical, time management and decision-making skills
Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop staff to their full potential with challenging goals
Strong commitment to achieving results through innovation and continuous improvement
Advanced proficiency with MS Excel
