About the Position

The Niagara Parks Commission’s Human Resources function is 
experiencing transformation to position it for future succession and to 
meet the needs of the organization’s new strategic plan. 
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Senior Manager will 
provide leadership and operational oversight to a variety of Human 
Resources functions with particular emphasis on 
recruitment/staffing/volunteers, pension and benefits; HR modernization, 
HRIS technology and social media; knowledge of organizational 
structure/design and succession planning.
You are a proven Human Resources leader with at least 5 years of 
progressively responsible senior management/supervisory and related 
operational experience in a unionized corporate environment. You have 
post secondary education in Business Administration, Human Resources 
or a related field and possess advanced knowledge of Human 
Resources best practices and applicable legislation. You have superior 
knowledge and experience in current recruitment/staffing/volunteer 
techniques, pension/benefits and related systems; HR modernization, 
HRIS technology and reporting, organization structure/design and 
succession planning. You possess superior oral, written, analytical, 
administrative and interpersonal skills. You have a strong attention to 
detail with exceptional organization and planning skills. Knowledge and 
experience in the public sector and CHRP designation are definite 
assets. You have high standards of ethics and professional conduct.
