This week marks the 9th anniversary (October 21, 2008) that I have been writing this blog for Niagara Falls Tourism. I figure at 2 blogs a week it amounts to just over 1,000 blogs. At that time, I wasn’t even quite sure what a Blog was.

I remember when I was asked by Niagara Falls Tourism that they wanted me to give readers a peek into Niagara’s vast history and to write about my personal experiences when it comes to Niagara Falls. That would include the many high-profile people I have escorted on tours of the falls. I’ll include my memories soon in a blog on Princess Diana of Great Britain and her sons William and Harry who visited the falls on October 25, 1991. I’ll also post a few photographs I took of the Princess and her children aboard the Maid of the Mist.

They also stressed the blog should not be an Advertorial. Write honestly.

Anna Pierce, the then Executive Director of Niagara Falls Tourism, said in a news release, “We want the blog to engage visitors and provoke conversation”.

I hope in some small way I’ve done that and I’ll continue to do so.

Many thanks to those at Niagara Falls Tourism who have helped me on this project.
