Long before the invention of power snow blowers snow was removed from roads and sidewalks a different way. Here’s a photo of an early snow plough clearing snow of the roadway at Table Rock near the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. What back-breaking work it must have been for the people clearing the nearby sidewalk. The ice encrusted street lamps are still around today.
Following any winter storm, the trees, buildings and roadways near the falls become a photographer’s delight.
