The lights go out on this years annual Winter Festival of lights on Tuesday, January 31st.

And what a great festival it turned out to be according to Tina Myers, executive director of the festival.

Tina says there was a 12 per cent increase in traffic and a 17 per cent increase in donations at Dufferin Islands.

There was also an increase in bus traffic this year. There were 440 buses through Queen Victoria Park this year compared to 310 last year.

Although the lighting displays go out the nightly illumination of the falls continues year-round.
