Both locals and visitors always seem to have things to do in Niagara Falls.
This Saturday, November 16th we’ll see lots of activity in our historic downtown area. Starting at 9:30 am the annual CYTEC Candy Cane 5K and Fun Run/Walk takes place. This is a fun event where participants dress up (or down) in every conceivable outfits (Santa’s in shorts, etc.) to raise money for our local food bank. Registration (there’s a fee) begins at 8 am in front of city hall. Remember all the money raised goes to a great cause.
On the same day, beginning at 10:40 am, the annual Santa Clause Parade winds it way from Victoria and Armoury Streets and ends up at City Hall. It usually lasts for a few hours. I plane to have my grandchildren with me for this event. Don’t forget to bundle up in layers. It can get cold waiting along the sidelines.
