For the first time ever cars will be restricted in Queen Victoria Park near the falls on Canada Day, Friday July 1st.
The car-free zone will be between Clifton Hill and Fraser Hill between 7 a.m. until midnight.
Folks are encouraged to walk or ride their bikes into the park, enjoy a Horse and Carriage Ride, or take advantage of the WEGO bus service. These are the only vehicles allowed to operate in the park this day.
The event is part of the Canada Day celebrations taking part in the park.
There will also be free outdoor live entertainment starting at 4 p.m. until 10 pm. near the Illumination Tower Fireworks over the falls explode at 10 p.m. on Canada Day and also on Monday, July 4th in honour of the U.S. Independence Day.
