What Niagara politicians and tourist organizations have been asking for, for years, has now come true. Starting this week daily GO Transit service to and from Niagara Falls and St. Catharines to Toronto has begun. The trains leave Niagara Falls at 5:19 a.m., stopping at St. Catharines before continuing on to Toronto’s Union Station. The train leaves Union Station to return to Niagara at 5:15. p.m.

The adult cost for a round day trip is in the neighbourhood of $44.00.

The GO train ride from Niagara Falls to Union Station takes about 2 ½ hours.

Serge Felicetti, Director of Business Development for Niagara Falls said he was pleased with the turnout for the first day of operation. There were about 30 vehicles in the parking lot of the station.
