The Canadian Civic long weekend in August is full of fantastic FREE events all over Niagara! It’s up to you to pick and choose!

FESTIVALS

Friday August 1st - Monday August 4th

  • Port Colborne Canal Days - a nautical event with grandiose Tall Ships, live concerts and food trucks settled in amongst boutique shops and restaurants.
  • St. Catharines RibFest - It all happens at Montebello Park, lip smacking ribs, and live music.
  • Henley Regatta - Starts Monday August 4th. The Royal Canadian rowing competition starts it's 132 year celebration of this historic competition.

PERFORMANCES

Friday August 1st - Monday August 4th

  • Summer of Thrills - Niagara Falls is known for its daredevil antics such as Annie Edison who went over the Falls in a barrell, Nick Wallenda who walked Niagara Falls and Jay Cochrane who walked from the Skylon Tower to the Hilton Hotel (the tallest Hotel in Niagara Falls). Shows are at 2/4/6/8 pm.

Friday August 1st, Sunday August 3rd and Monday August 4th

  • Fireworks - the Summer long fireworks event is not to be missed. The show starts at 10pm, make sure you bring your blanket and find your spot close to the Canadian Horseshoe Falls.

Friday August 1st

  • Dragon Ritual Drummers - Live performance at the Niagara Parks ‘Coca Cola’ stage the Dragon Ritual Drummers performance is creative, intense and powerful. They bring the audience to their feet dancing as they are swept away in the intense beat of music from around the world and through the ages. Show is at 8pm.
  • Hidden Agenda - Playing live in front of City Hall on Queen Street Niagara Falls, Hidden Agenda is known for their vast repertoire of original songs covering a range of styles from earthy guitar rock, cool up-tempo songs with a whimsical appeal.

Sunday August 3rd

  • Weekend Riot Club - Live performance at the Niagara Parks ‘Coca Cola’ by this alternative rock band. Performance starts at 8pm.

Monday August 4th

  • The MadHatters - Live performance at the Niagara Parks ‘Coca Cola’ stage by a rock and pop based band performance starts at 8pm.
