Mory DiMaurizio, General Manager of Hornblower Niagara Cruises is quoted in the local Niagara Falls Review newspaper as having, “a spectacular year”. He’s optimistic that things will continue this way until the two boats are taken out of the river for the season on November 30th.To date approximately 2.1 million passengers have taken this spectacular ride to the base of the falls. This is the largest number of people to take this trip in one season and there’s still at least two more months to go before the season ends.
Great weather, clever marketing and a favourable exchange rate on U.S. currency are a few of the reasons credited with the increased business.
Wayne Thompson, chairman of Niagara Falls Tourism says the new Zipline attraction and other Niagara Falls attractions are doing a great job of marketing and as a result experiencing extreme success. In general, tourism operators are reporting to date an increase in business of 15 per cent over last year.
