Niagara Parks is proud to be working with Tourism Toronto and Niagara Falls stakeholders to welcome the largest-ever incentive travel group to visit Canada from China. The NU SKIN group, with a delegation of 5,000 participants will be visiting Niagara on May 15. Those traveling along the Niagara Parkway may have noticed a lot of activity going on recently in Queen Victoria Park, as an event stage is currently being constructed in preparation for a gala event on May 15, which will result in the following temporary lane restrictions and closures:
Friday, May 4 – Monday, May 14 (not including weekends) AND Wednesday, May 16 – Friday, May 25 (not including weekends) There will be a single lane closure of the southbound lane of the Niagara Parkway from the exit of the Niagara Parks Police administrative building to Murray Street to facilitate the set up and cleanup for the group’s private gala event.
The Murray Street yield lane will be closed during this time, and there will be no access to the sidewalks within the construction area. All pedestrian traffic will be diverted to the east side of the Niagara Parkway, with the assistance of the Niagara Parks Police.
Monday, May 14 - A full closure of the Niagara Parkway between Murray Street and Clifton Hill will be in effect from midnight (12:00 a.m.) to 4:00 a.m. There will be no impact to Murray Street or Clifton Hill during this time.
EVENT DAY: Tuesday, May 15 - There will be a full road closure of the Niagara Parkway from Clifton Hill to Fraser Hill from 7:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. This road closure will include Falls Avenue southbound to the Niagara Parkway and Murray Street to Warren Avenue.
Bus traffic will be permitted to enter at the Niagara Parkway from Clifton Hill and will be diverted northbound to access Grand View Bus Management.
All vehicles exiting Queen Victoria Place and the Falls Parking Lot will be diverted southbound.
The Falls Parking Lot will remain open during the road closure and access to Table Rock’s Bus Management will be available under the supervision of the Niagara Parks Police. Access and egress to Table Rock’s Bus Management will be available via the south from Upper Rapids Boulevard.
Please note: the Niagara Parks Police parking loop will also be closed for the day.
