As usual, I had my morning coffee at Tim Hortons and struck up a conversation with two folks from South Carolina. They told me they were in Niagara Falls to attend a Model A Ford convention that was in the city this week. The convention is being held at the Crowne Plaza and the Sheraton on the Falls Hotel located near the Canadian end of the Rainbow Bridge. I grabbed my camera and headed to the falls to try and get a photograph of one of the cars. I lucked out. Here is one of the cars built between1828 and 1931 cruising by the American Falls. There are 350 restored Model A’s travelling around the city until Friday.
Several Model A’s were used in the 1967 movie, “Bonnie and Clyde”.
The Model A Ford was the second huge success for the Ford Motor Company after its predecessor the Model T.
