Officially opened yesterday, the new WildPlay MistRider Zipline ride that descends 670-metres (2,200 feet) into the lower Niagara Gorge near the falls is a great success.

Operators of the ride say they are averaging 500-600 riders a day. The cost of the minute ride is anywhere from 50 to 60 dollars depending on the time the ride is taken.

Niagara Parks spokesman Tony Baldinelli (they own the ride) reports the new ride has received international coverage in print and, television. The ride is anticipated to be open daily until late October.

The reviews are already in and experienced zip line riders list this ride as one of the best in the world. I haven’t had a chance to take the ride yet but it’s high on my bucket list.
