I’ve just returned from a media conference where details of this year’s Ontario Power Generations Winter Festival of Lights were presented to a room of sponsors and media.
We learned that this year there are far more sponsors than ever and this means more dollars for more events and lights.
The festival will run for 72 days from November 21, 2015 to January 31, 2016.
Opening ceremonies will take place in Queen Victoria Park opposite the falls and will consist of a high energy performance followed by amazing fireworks choreographed to music.
There will also be more lights, in Queen Victoria Park, Dufferin Islands, Clifton Hill and the Lundy’s Lane area.
All of the events and displays are free.
Here’s a photograph of Niagara Falls Ontario Mayor, Jim Diodati explaining some of the events of the festival.
