In Ontario elementary and secondary school, students have a week-long break in March to celebrate spring. This traditional break started today and continues until the end of the week. In Niagara Falls, there are plenty of things for students to do and many of them are free. For example, check out the lights on the falls each evening. On St. Patrick’s Day, March 17 th a special 15-minute green illumination takes place at 10 p.m. You and your family can stroll through Queen Victoria Park near the falls and see the crocuses popping their heads through the ground.

Not far beyond the Canadian Horseshoe Falls is the NPC Floral Showhouse. Step inside and get a head start on spring. The annual Spring Show is in full bloom. For more ideas, check out this web site and The Niagara Parks Commission’s website at www.niagaraparks.com.
