Each year, The Niagara Parks Commission is pleased to act as one of the hosts of the Niagara Falls Winter Festival of Lights celebrations, which transform Niagara Parks and the City of Niagara Falls into a palette of breathtaking colour with millions of sparkling lights and interactive displays. Niagara Parks’ Aura: Let it Glow presents several illumination-themed events for visitors to enjoy while experiencing the 2017-2018 Winter Festival of Lights throughout the entire 56-kilometre Niagara Parks.

Lumina: 80 Years of Oakes Garden Theatre Join us as Niagara Parks shines a light on the proud 80-year history behind our extraordinary Oakes Garden Theatre. This newly developed experience will offer a self-guided tour of the key architectural and historical elements of this incredible venue with spectacular displays of light and music. Lumina will be presented nightly from dusk to 11 p.m. beginning on Wednesday, November 22 through to Sunday, November 26.

Grand View Winter Marketplace Niagara Parks’ festive outdoor holiday market returns to Grand View Marketplace from Thursday, November 23 through to Sunday, November 26. Visitors will be able to shop for handmade gifts, savour a taste of Niagara with local food trucks, and enjoy family-friendly games and entertainment. There will be $5 parking and shuttle services from Falls Parking Lot.

Toronto Power Sound and Light Show Watch as the Winter Festival of Lights transforms the historic Toronto Power Generating Station with a sound and light show choreographed to music by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra broadcasted locally on 100.5 FM.

The Niagara Falls Winter Fireworks Series kicked off with the opening ceremonies of the Winter Festival of Lights on Saturday, November 18 and will continue every Friday night at 9 p.m. until January 26, with additional shows from December 23 to December 29. There will be a special fireworks show on Thursday, November 23 at 8:10 p.m., in addition to the regular fireworks display on Friday, November 24 at 9 p.m.

New Niagara Parks Features of the 2017/2018 Winter Festival of Lights Visitors will notice some incredible new additions along the Niagara Parkway and throughout Niagara Parks’ facilities when touring this year’s OPG Winter Festival of Lights. Be sure to stop by Table Rock for the ultimate holiday photo opportunity with the new 10-foot-high, walk-through ornament displayed within the Grand Hall overlooking the brink of the Horseshoe Falls. Another new feature will be a stunning display at Mowat Gate along the Niagara Parkway, comprised of large trees draped in warm white lights to mimic Spanish moss, creating a magical illuminated forest. Beginning December 15, a new interactive light exhibit, The Passage, will take over the front lawn of Queen Victoria Place. Walk through the 84-foot tunnel comprised of twenty illuminated circles that change colours with every step!

Annual Christmas Display at the Floral Showhouse Prepare to be awestruck by the extraordinary Annual Christmas Display at the Niagara Parks Floral Showhouse, featuring a stunning arrangement of poinsettias, azaleas, Christmas cactus and many other festive surprises.
