It was announced recently Victoria Avenue Business Improvement Association (B.I.A.) that Victoria Avenue from the intersection of Clifton Hill to Highway 420 will undergo a $3.5 million dollar upgrade starting this spring. The city of Niagara Falls will contribute $2.9 million and the B.I.A. $600.000.

The last upgrades in this area were done in 1980.

The upgrade will include decorative lighting ,accessible sidewalks ,benches ‘ shade trees ,gateway features ,landscaping ,attraction and performance space ,resurfaced roadways and public washrooms.

In addition to this HOCO (one of the largest private operators in the area) will contribute $400,000 for improvements to its frontage on Victoria Avenue.

Things are changing in Niagara Falls.
