Since writing the book, “Marilyn Monroe and the Making of Niagara” in 1999,(No longer in print) I can’t tell you how many times yearly I’m contacted about where various scenes for this movie was filmed in Niagara Falls.
Many times I have taken the time to drive those who arrive on my doorstep to these locations.
I think there is still enough interest to develop a tour of where certain scenes were filmed for the 1952 movie. All of the locations are still around.
One key question is, “Where is the Rainbow Cabins” located. It was a fake motel set up in front of the American Falls and torn down after the movie. Why not put a few plaques around the area where some of these scenes were filmed? Just a thought.
I’ve attached a few photographs from my personal collection to look at.
