It was 1842 when English writer Charles Dickens with his wife, Kate, and maid Anne visited Niagara Falls. The 30-year old Dickens wrote, “When I felt how near I was to my creator I was standing, the first effect and enduring one-instant and lasting-of the tremendous spectacle of Peace. Peace of mind: Tranquility: Calm recollections of the Dead: Great thoughts of eternal rest and happiness: nothing of gloom and Terror. Niagara was at once stamped upon my heart, an image of beauty”.

I couldn’t have said it any better Mr. Dickens!
