Hornblower Niagara Cruises is looking for Food, Beverage & Retail Counter Servers who can:

  • deliver prompt food and beverage service
  • work on land and on water (vessel)
  • ensure work area is clean and safe
  • anticipate guest needs
  • up-sell products to guests

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • greet guests in a polite and pleasant manner
  • answer questions in regards to Niagara Falls and other local attractions
  • takes and serves food and beverage orders in a timely manner
  • sell food, beverage and retail items
  • reconciles cash
  • up-sells items to guests
  • execute all opening and closing activities including stocking, replenishing, wiping, sweeping
  • checks identification

Ideal Candidate has:

  • O.S.S.D. or equivalent as recognized by the Ministry of Education
  • 1-2 years of serving experience in food and beverage preferred or customer service experience preferably in a hospitality environment
  • smart serve certificate
  • proficiency in Cash Register/ P.O.S. system
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • strong organizational, multitasking, and troubleshooting skills in a fast paced work environment
  • familiar with Alcohol and Food regulations, laws and practices
  • knowledge of another language in addition to English is preferred
  • a positive attitude and good work ethic
