Reporting to the Vice President of Revenue Management, the Revenue Project Manager is responsible for analyzing existing cross-functional processes and optimizing their efficiency, the development, distribution and maintenance of standardized reporting suites, the optimization and standardization of systems utilized by Revenue Management, supporting and collaborating with hotel Revenue Managers and any other tasks assigned by the Vice President of Revenue Management. This is primarily accomplished by performing the following tasks:

Responsibilities

  • Defines all standard operating procedures, reports and system functionality impacting Revenue Management
  • Measures the impact of existing issues and the magnitude of cross-functional problems
  • Analyzes the processes, reports, functionality, etc. to determine what the root cause of the issue and/or inefficiency is
  • Improves the processes, reports, etc. by implementing solutions that meet the business needs
  • Implements Controls so that the gains that have been realized continue to be seen in the future
  • Under the direction of the Vice President of Revenue Management, creates and maintains a standardized suite of Revenue Management reports that will enable the company to spend less time updating reports and more time maximizing revenue
  • Weekly, monthly and ad hoc data collection and report creation as required
  • Collaborate with and support the hotel Revenue Managers as required

Qualifications

  • 5+ years related experience in Revenue Management
  • Lean Six Sigma experience is an asset
  • Must have advanced knowledge of report writing, data collection and process mapping
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, SQL, VBA, MRDW, OneYield, Opera
  • Mathematically/analytically inclined – holds a passion for numbers
  • Completion of post-secondary education program relevant to revenue management or equivalent experience
  • Detail orientated and hands on
  • Team player with strong communication, persuasion, and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with stressful situations
  • Ability to translate statistical trends and complex system functionalities into easily understood terms for hotel management understanding and use
  • Acts quickly and decisively; able to multi-task
