Seasonal Group Sales Representative
===================================
Under the general supervision of the Senior Manager,
Sales and within established policies, procedures and
guidelines to perform a variety of sales related duties.
The individual will provide excellent customer service
working in a fast-paced environment servicing a high
volume of customers through answering inquiries from
group clients and internal Niagara Parks operations.
Niagara Parks offers an hourly rate of $19.92 per hour
for this position as well as eligibility to enroll in
our pension plan.
A successful Police Information Check is required for
the selected candidate.
This seasonal position has historically worked 50 weeks
per year with a 2 week layoff.

QUALIFICATIONS:
---------------

  • Completion of a College Diploma in

Tourism/Hospitality or the equivalent knowledge and
experience.

  • Possession of the Niagara Parks Park License is

considered an asset.

  • Excellent typing skills and proficient use of

Microsoft Office, Windows-based software, Outlook
and internet applications.

  • Bilingualism in another language, preferably French,

Spanish or Mandarin, would be assets.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
----------------------------

  • At least two years of experience working with travel

trade, group tour operators, business events, MICE
(meeting, incentive, convention, exhibition), SMERF
(social, military, educational, religious and
fraternal groups) and a variety of other group
organizers, plus one year on the job.

  • Exemplary sales and customer service skills

including communication/interpersonal skills both
oral and written.

  • Problem solving skills and ability to perform duties

with a strong attention to detail.

  • Experience with Accesso ticketing systems considered

an asset. Time-management and organization skills.

  • Proven commitment and ability to multi-task in a

high-pressure sales and service environment.

  • Ability to exercise tact, courtesy in a professional

manner.
