Pearl Morissette is a boutique winery located on the Niagara Peninsula just outside of the picturesque village of Jordan. It is a unique partnership born in 2007, between Toronto-based developer Mel Pearl, and Burgundy-trained vigneron François Morissette. They share the same uncompromising vision that values the traditional approach to wine growing in order to deliver premium quality wines.
Trained in Burgundy, vigneron Francois Morissette is among Niagara's up-and-coming faces in the wine-growing community. He has swiftly established the wines of Pearl Morissette as some of the most exciting cuvees to come out of the region and garnered much international acclaim.
All the wines produced at the estate are in small production and made from vineyards maintained by a set of rigorous standards. The aim is to show the inherent beauty of the Niagara wine region through a process of exploration and integrity. The fruit is grown and the wines are made with a low-intervention philosophy that values tradition and honours sustainable practices.
