One Year to Go Celebration for FIFA World Cup 2026™
MEDIA RELEASE - June 11, 2025 - Niagara Falls Tourism, in partnership with Niagara Parks, is proud to host FIFA26 Canada for a landmark celebration marking One Year to Go until the FIFA World Cup 26™ kicks off. On June 11, 2025, Canada’s most iconic natural wonder served as the setting for the official unveiling of a countdown clock, which will count down through to the tournament kick-off on June 11, 2026.
Standing at nearly ten feet tall, the FWC26 Canada-branded countdown clock features a maple leaf mosaic – reflecting the diversity that makes up Canada- is placed prominently at the brink of the Falls, a globally recognized symbol of Canada’s natural beauty and national pride. Canada is one of three host nations for the world’s biggest sporting event, alongside Mexico and the United States.
