About 20 of the top chefs in the world visited Niagara Falls yesterday. They were members of Le Club des Chefs, known as the 'G20" of gastronomy". To be a member of this exclusive club they have to be a personal chef and prepare meals or world leaders such as presidents, and Prime Ministers. These chefs were guests of Niagara Falls Tourism and the Niagara Parks Commission. They were treated to a brunch at Elements on the Falls Restaurant near Table Rock followed by a trip to the base of the falls aboard one of the Niagara City Cruises cruise vessels. All of the ingredients for the brunch were sourced locally from farmers in Niagara.
This group meets yearly in s different country to experience local culinary traditions.
Niagara Falls Mayor Jim Diodati and Niagara Parks Chair Janice Thomson were on hand to greet the chefs and the founder of the organization Gilles Bragard.
Attached is a photo of Mayor Diodati greeting Mr. Bragard.
