Following Chris Daughtry’s success on Season Five of American Idol in 2006 where he finished in the top four as a solo musician and vocalist, the band he created in the months after skyrocketed to success with their first two albums album, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard 200 both times.
The first album, self-title Daughtry, was also named the best-selling album of 2007 by Billboard, becoming the fastest-selling debut rock album in Nielsen SoundScan history.
