Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit first collaborated on the release of the self-titled album Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit in 2009. In 2011, the collaboration continued with the release of Here We Rest. The track "Alabama Pines" was named Song of the Year at the 2012 Americana Music Awards. The Nashville Sound was released in 2017, winning the Grammy Award for Best Americana Album, with Isbell winning an additional Grammy Award for Best American Roots Song. In 2020, the group released Reunions, with the song "Be Afraid" hitting No. 5 on the Adult Alternative Songs chart. In 2021 they released a cover album Georgia Blue and was a collaboration by various artists, and contributed a cover of the Metallica song "Sad But True." Isbell has also won four Grammy Awards between 2001 and 2007. Joining Jason Isbell and The 400 unit is special guest Courtney Marie Andrews.  Her genre-blending music combines elements of alternative folk, indie-rock and country. Andrews muse-like voice combined with folksy instrumentals and personal yet relatable lyrics create a show-stopping live performance.
