SOUPFEST, Supporting GROW Community Food Literacy Centre
Join us at the brewery Friday, February 18th from 11:30am – 1:30pm for Dragan Soupfest! Local chefs from the Niagara Region will cook-up 2 soups – Country Harvest Mushroom, and Slow Roasted Beef and Barley soups.
Soups will be provided by: Broth Taking Soups & Sides, and Dragan Brewing and Wine Company
Tickets: $25
Each ticket includes 4 servings of soup and rolls. Limited tickets are available for purchase online and must be purchased in advance. Tickets will be available for sale until Wednesday, January 16th at 5pm.
During the event, the Dragan retail store will be open, with limited indoor seating available. This is a great way to treat your family, friends, or staff for lunch!
Proceeds from ticket sales will support the GROW Community Food Literacy Centre in the Niagara Region. They offer a weekly subsidized market to provide healthy, fresh foods to people with low-incomes, while also empowering members to make healthy eating decisions through cooking and gardening education. This model addresses the long-term challenges faced by low-income residents and persons with disabilities in the community.
As we head into the third year of pandemic, GROW has seen a steady increase of people in need of their services within the community. There is an urgent need to support this cause, and any proceeds raised will go directly to purchasing fresh fruits and vegetables, meat and meat alternatives, eggs, dairy, and pantry staples for the GROW market. GROW’s Lentil and Barley Soup Mix will also be available for purchase for $5. All proceeds from soup mixes purchased will support the GROW Community Food Literacy Centre.
