NIAGARA FALLS RETURNS THE WELCOME TO ITS NEIGHBOURS IN BUFFALO

Following Buffalo’s recent show of goodwill toward its Canadian neighbours, Niagara Falls Tourism is returning the warm welcome.

After Buffalo’s heartfelt rendition of “O Canada” at a Buffalo Bills game, followed by a Visit Buffalo billboard campaign inviting Canadians to visit, Niagara Falls Tourism is responding with a message of its own.

In a letter published in The Buffalo News, Niagara Falls Tourism is saying thank you to its neighbours to the south and reminding them that they’re always welcome on the Canadian side of the Falls.

And the welcome doesn’t stop at the letter.

On Saturday, October 3, Niagara Falls will mark the Buffalo Bills game with a special celebration: a spectacular five-minute fireworks display lighting up the sky in red, white and blue — a nod to the Bills and the close connection between these neighbouring destinations.

Americans are invited to come across the bridge, find a spot along the river and make a night worth remembering. And their Canadian neighbours will be right there with them.

The evening doesn’t have to end there. After the fireworks, visitors can keep the celebration going along Clifton Hill and Fallsview Boulevard, with attractions, restaurants and bars open late into the night.
