What is the boat ride towards the Falls called?
The boat ride available in Niagara Falls, Canada is called Niagara City Cruises. Previously it was operated by Maid of the Mist, which now only exists on the American side of Niagara Falls. You can purchase tickets here, or view attraction packages that include tickets here.

Are reservations required in advance or can I just drive up to Niagara and get a hotel?
Reservations are always recommended in advance. Especially, on weekends, all major holidays and in the summer months. If do not wish to make reservations in advance your choices may be limited in what would be available.
Can you use US currency at the attractions at the Falls?

Can I use my American cell phone when I come to Canada?
There are a few places very close to the border where you will be able to pick up American cell phone towers but beware as you will be bounced from tower to tower in this area. For the most part you will need to contact your service provider and add an international plan on for the length of your stay. This can easily be done online or through your providers app on your smart phone. If you do not set up an international plan please be sure to turn off roaming features for both phone and data as the roaming costs will be quite high.

Any day trips to Niagara Falls from nearby cities?
Yes. Many people travel from Toronto to Niagara Falls for the day. They either travel by bus, train or rent a car for the day. They may also book tours from Toronto that would include a Niagara Day trip.
