Light Up Your Life

Celebrating 36 years of lighting up the Niagara Falls winter, Winter Festival of Lights returns from November 1st to January 31st. With over two million lights lit bright for Canada’s largest illumination festival, you’ll feel like you’re walking in a winter wonderland. Enjoy fireworks every Friday night during the festival, lighting up the sky to compliment the glowing displays below. Beyond the festival, the light show continues with the nightly Falls Illumination. A new $4 million lighting grid has allowed for twice as much light using 82% less energy, meaning you’ll see the epic Niagara Falls in a whole new light – literally.

Icewine and a Good Time

For those partial to the distinct sweetness and dessert flavour of Niagara icewine, be sure to visit during the Niagara Icewine Festival or Niagara-on-the-Lake Icewine Village. You’ll encounter extraordinary evenings of irresistible wine and food pairings, along with outdoor activities such as exploring Ice Street Villages and marshmallow roasting along the famed wine route.

Winter from Afar

Awarded a position in the Top 50 Signature Winter Experiences in Canada, Niagara Helicopter won’t disappoint when the snow hits! Rediscover the light show from 457 meters above, and see the entire city at a bird’s eye view. Or, if wining and dining is more your style, end your tour over the vineyards of Niagara-on-the-lake and land at one of their beautiful wineries for a gourmet meal, tour & tasting.

The Great Indoors

Prefer to stay on a path of warmth? Take a ride in the Skywheel where you will soar above the city in a climate controlled gondola that provides views of the Falls and chilly snow below. Strap in and get ready for a bumpy ride at Ripley’s 4D Moving Theatre where you’ll get the full winter experience without having to be outdoors. Or, stay far away from it all and check into the spa for the day and treat yourself to some much-deserved pampering.
