Family Day Birding Open House at the Niagara Glen Nature Centre
FEBRUARY 17, 2025 • 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. • Free Admission
This Family Day weekend, join us at the Niagara Glen Nature Centre to discover the secrets of Niagara’s diverse bird species. Participate in an exciting meet and greet featuring incredible birds of prey, presented by the Canadian Raptor Conservancy.
Hosted in collaboration with Birds on the Niagara, the Family Day Birding Open House will feature bird identification workshops and presentations from local birding experts, as well as guided birding walks. Admission is free.

Attention lords and ladies! Join the Knights of Blackthorn Productions for an exploration of the Middle Ages! Touch and try on medieval armour, check out the weapons of the time and learn how they would be used. Ask your questions of these costumed characters and feel like you have been transported back in time.
The presentation will be hosted in The Exchange, located directly behind the Museum.
After the show, explore the Museum galleries and complete a scavenger hunt.

Join the Earth Rangers for live animal shows at: 11am, 1pm, 2pm, & 3pm in the Exchange. This unique and up-close encounter with their animal ambassadors will leave you educated and inspired to help protect animals in the wild. Sponsored by Ontario Power Generation.
Other activities include free family portraits by Digital Attractions, scavenger hunts, crafts, and three galleries full of artefacts that explore our local history!
