One sure fire way is to ask them to tell you the name of the bridge that crosses over the Niagara River at Queenston and Lewiston near the Niagara Parks Floral Clock. Most Canadians will tell you it’s the Queenston-Lewiston or Queenston Bridge. An American will call it the Lewiston—Queenston Bridge or simply the Lewiston Bridge. The correct official name of the bridge is the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge. Why? “L” comes before “Q” in the alphabet.
