The parks public greenhouse above the falls is always a lovely place to visit at any time of the year but at Christmas time it seems even more special. The showhouse has been decked out for the Christmas season with vibrant pink, red, white, violet, salmon and cream poinsettias. There are about 29 different varieties found in the 750 poinsettias in the display. There are also giant trees made out of layers of poinsettia plants.
The Floral Showcase located on the Niagara Parkway above the falls opposite the abandoned Toronto Power Plant is open daily from 9:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. This month hours are extended on Friday and Saturday until 8p.m. but closed on Christmas Day. Admission is $5.00 for adults and children six to 12 years $3.75.Locals can purchase a season’s pass for a reduced rate.
