On a recent walk on the grounds of the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens, about 8 kilometres north of the falls along the Niagara Parkway I stumbled upon an interesting garden maintained by the students of the School of Horticulture located at this location. It was a garden of different plants that have proven effective in treating various illnesses. These plants are clearly marked with their common name as well as their botanical name.
Here’s just a few of them. Ask a staff member to tell you where you can find the plants.
