The Niagara Falls History Museum at 5820 Ferry Street opened this past weekend an exhibit of scrapbooks from the 1930’s and 40’s.The folks at the museum tell me the scrapbooks are filled with many items that depict what it was like living at that time. There are locks of hair, photographs, colourful advertisements and meaningful moments in the life of the person or persons who compiled the scrapbooks.
The exhibit features local artist Melanie MacDonald who has re-Imaged images found within the books.
The exhibit is called, “Don’t Read This If You Are a Woodpecker”.
The exhibit runs until January 15th.
The museum opens daily at 10 a.m. Closed on Mondays.
Admission for an adult is $5.00, 6 to 19 $4.00 and a family of up to five, $15.00.
